Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Hardwood Edge mobile app and this website. Hardwood Edge is published by Derrick Soltero, an individual developer. By using Hardwood Edge you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Eligibility

You must be at least 21 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Hardwood Edge. The app is for entertainment and informational purposes only.

Not a sportsbook; no affiliation

Hardwood Edge is not a sportsbook, casino, or gambling operator. No wagering takes place in the app. We do not accept wagers or handle betting funds. Hardwood Edge is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Basketball Association (NBA), its teams, or players. Team and league names are used only to identify games.

Gambling risk disclaimer

Picks and commentary are opinions for entertainment. Sports betting involves risk and can cause financial loss. Past results do not guarantee future outcomes. Only wager what you can afford to lose, and only where it is legal for you to do so. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, seek help (for example, 1-800-GAMBLER in the U.S.).

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Subscriptions and purchases

Paid features (Pro, Elite, and Get pick requests) are billed through the Apple App Store and managed with RevenueCat. Prices, renewals, cancellations, and refunds follow Apple's rules:

• Pro and Elite are auto-renewing monthly subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel in your Apple ID account settings.
• Get pick requests are sold separately and are not included in Pro or Elite beyond any free credits granted when you join.
• A Get pick credit is restored in-app only if we decline the request as not workable. No in-app credit is given for a late response, an inaccurate pick, a miss, or a losing pick. In-app credits are not cash and are not App Store refunds.
• Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Referral rewards

Invite rewards (one free day of Pro per qualifying invite, up to five per month) have no cash value, may not be transferred, and may be changed or ended at any time. We may revoke rewards obtained through fake accounts or abuse.

Beta software

While Hardwood Edge is distributed through TestFlight, it is pre-release software. Features may change, break, or be removed, and data may be reset.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer it, scrape or redistribute proprietary pick content, or use Hardwood Edge in violation of local law. We may suspend or end access for violations.

Intellectual property

The Hardwood Edge name, logo, app, and pick content are owned by Derrick Soltero. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the app for your own non-commercial purposes.

Disclaimer of warranties

Hardwood Edge is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or profitability of any pick, alert, score, or report.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Derrick Soltero and Hardwood Edge are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including betting losses, arising from use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Apple terms

These Terms are between you and Derrick Soltero, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. Your use must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where local consumer law gives you additional rights.

Changes and contact
